dPost recently welcomed John Takacs to the team as a full-time producer. John started his career at Buffalo Advertising, and in 2003, he launched a successful freelance career as a producer, director and writer. Past clients include Fisher Price, New Era, Erie County Medical Center, Milk For Health and the United Way of Buffalo. John has won numerous Telly and Addy awards, as well as an Effie Award for his work as a producer for the Walmart Local Basket Campaign. Since joining dPost, John masterfully completed an extensive Partners & Napier project for Excellus / Univera, which spanned 14 locations over 6 days, and included more than 50 crew members and 100 talent. Looking ahead, there’s no rest for the weary as John’s dance card is filling up fast.
dPost recently became a member of Post New York Alliance (PNYA), an association of post production professionals and organizations working with film, television and interactive media in New York City and New York State. The goal of the association is to foster growth and collaboration within the industry and to enable members to speak as a unified voice on issues including, but not limited to, jobs, technology and public policy. The group believes that, as a collective, it can protect the industry’s creative capital, attract new talent to New York, and strengthen the local economy. To that end, PNYA’s objectives include incentivizing projects to finish in New York, marketing the services provided by the New York Post Production industry, and creating avenues for talent to enter into this fast growing sector of the economy.
